For those that live here, we know there will be quite a few people in town this Saturday, but as State Police Maj. Michael Kopy said Thursday, the influx of guests, reporters, celebrities and curiosity seekers wouldn't come close to the crowds at the Dutchess County Fair. Yes my friends, Rhinebeck, Ny can certainly handle this crowd with room to spare as the Fair Grounds attract over One Million patrons annually.

So what is the Dutchess Count Fair?

With over 160 fairs to its credit, The Dutchess County Fair boasts "a tradition of excellence." In addition to producing the annual fair which always runs the third full week in August, the organization hosts numerous outstanding events throughout the year. Crafts at Rhinebeck, Classic Car Shows, Antique Shows, a Sheep and Wool Festival and Wine and Food Festival are just some of the popular events. Increasingly, the Dutchess County Fairgrounds is becoming a destination for family fun and wholesome entertainment in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
