From tragedy comes triumph.
Back in 2002 Lawrence "Larry" Jensen was running a successful construction company and had just entered the Modular Home market when a motorcycle accident would cause him to change directions. During his recovery he had the opportunity to witness first hand, a day in the life of a real estate agent. His passion for construction and home building remained high, but he was unable to be as hands on in the construction business as he was before. In 2003 he decided to jump head first into the real estate business.
His passion for construction and being a self driven business profession proved to be a recipe for success and by March 2006 he had already earned his Brokers License. On April 14th, 2006 St. Lawrence Properties, LLC was launched in Westchester County, New York.

By 2009, St. Lawrence Properties had grown to cover over 15 counties in two states and in April 2010 he opened the corporate office for St. Lawrence Properties, LLC in Poughkeepsie NY. "I chose this location as it is central to our market area" Larry stated and added that with todays technology it is simply not good business sense to have a retail center in every town. This State of the Art facility wirelessly connects his agents to the office where he is able to monitor the transactions while enabling the agents to stay in the field where they are best utilized.
Seems like everyone's an Agent
In todays world where it seems that everyone you know has a real estate license, what could possible be the difference between them all? Money, your money to be exact, Larry exclaimed. What an agent does not know will cost you plenty! The states impose very lax minimum requirements for one to hold a Real Estate license. In fact, an agent is only required to receive less than 12 hours per year of education and some agents are completely exempt from any education. In a business that is changing constantly and when handling the single biggest investment of one's life, do you want someone that only meets minimum requirements representing you?
We don't strive to be the biggest, just the best.
At St. Lawrence Properties we only employ Full Time Professionals to represent our clients. Our agents are constantly supervised, trained and educated to keep their skills current and keep them ranked as the best of the best. I am not concerned with volume, Larry said, as much as I am with quality, professionalism and making sure my agents are constantly raising the standards for this industry. I expect my agents to be a leader in there field because my clients best interests are of the utmost importance to me. "We don't strive to be the biggest, just the best".
